BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Hot and dry conditions continue today, with the warm and mostly dry pattern holding into next week.
TODAY'S FORECAST
Another Ozone Action Day is in place for elevated ozone levels that may cause unhealthy air quality during the afternoon hours for sensitive groups. Those with respiratory issues should limit time outdoors.
Otherwise, expect a very warm afternoon with highs climbing into the mid-90s under mostly sunny skies and dry conditions.
LSU FOOTBALL FORECAST
It will be very warm for tailgating this afternoon, so remember to stay hydrated as temperatures rise into the mid-90s. The game itself will still be warm, but slightly cooler as the sun begins to set, starting in the upper 80s and falling into the upper 70s by the fourth quarter.
WARM WEATHER CONTINUES
High temperatures will remain above normal through the rest of the weekend and into next week, holding in the low to mid-90s.

The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor a tropical wave that recently emerged off Africa, with a medium chance of development over the next week. Model guidance suggests this system could recurve back into the Atlantic, but it will be something to monitor for potential development into a depression next week.
EXTENDED OUTLOOK
