Florida is one of the best places to live in the country, according to a study released this week by WalletHub.
However, it didn't come in No. 1 this year.

The study looked at factors like affordability, economies, education, health and quality of life to determine which states were the cream of the crop.
"When deciding on a place to move, you should first consider financial factors like the cost of living, housing prices and job availability," WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo wrote. "Many states have strong economies, though, so you should also consider a wide variety of other factors, such as how where you live will impact your health and safety, and whether you will have adequate access to activities that you enjoy."
After tallying up the results, the top-ranked state in the U.S. turned out to be Massachusetts, which also topped the list in terms of education and health, as well.
"Massachusetts is the best state to live in, due in large part to its strong health care system and high-quality education.
Massachusetts has the lowest premature death rate in the country and the fifth-lowest share of adults in fair or poor health. It also has the highest share of residents with health insurance coverage, at 97.4%.
The Bay State also ranks first for the quality of its school systems. It has the 10th-best high school graduation rate in the country, too, at roughly 90%. Good-quality education has helped the state's residents succeed financially, with the second-highest median household income, at over $101,000.
Finally, Massachusetts has the third-lowest property crime rate in the country and has the third-best access to public transportation."

However, the Sunshine State didn't fall far behind.
Florida came in at No. 6, getting high marks for categories like economy, quality of life, and safety in particular.
But on the flip side, Florida suffered when it came to housing costs, placing No. 47 nationwide for that specific category.
