After record-breaking spells at Real Madrid and Juventus, he returned to Manchester United in 2021. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner picked up the Player of the Month prize twice during the 2021/22 season, in which he scored 24 goals in all competitions.
Steven Gerrard also picked up six awards. The Liverpool midfielder marauded as one of the Premier League's leading talents in the noughties, where he inspired the Reds to Champions League and FA Cup success among his honours.
Named PFA Player of the Year in 2005/06 and FWA Footballer of the Year in 2008/09, no player has ever been voted into the PFA Team of the Year on more occasions (8).
Salah's sixth title takes him level with Liverpool legend Gerrard and into joint-second. He is one of just two players to have won the award three times in a season, alongside Marcus Rashford (2022/23).
Salah has since claimed the Player of the Month on three further occasions, including November 2024.
Harry Kane shares the record for most Player of the Month awards with seven. The former Tottenham forward is the second-highest goalscorer in Premier League history, after netting 213 goals in 320 top-flight appearances in English football.
He is one of nine players to have won the award in consecutive months, doing do in January and February 2015.
