A woman has been branded a "witchcraft" after demonstrating how to fold a fitted sheet flawlessly. Australian influencer Maddy Macrae posted a clip on her TikTok account, initially joking about how fitted sheets invariably end up as a crumpled mess when attempting to fold them at home.
However, at the beginning of the footage, Maddy was actually seen folding the sheet immaculately, prompting her comments section to be swamped with enquiries from viewers desperate to learn her technique. The surge of responses prompted her to create a tutorial video revealing her precise method.
In the clip, she explained: "The other day I posted this video, but ironically, in the beginning of the video I could actually fold the fitted sheet."
"And so naturally the comments were full of people asking me how I did it, so this is how I fold the fitted sheet."
Maddy's initial step involved locating one corner of the fitted sheet, then inserting her hand into it with the corner turned inside out.
She subsequently found another corner and repeated the process with her opposite hand.
Maddy continued: "Then you make those corners kiss and I flip one side over the other.
"You can put it [the sheet] down for this, but I just let it float and find the other side and do the same.
"I kind of like wiggle my hand in there until the two corners kind of are nestled into each other.
"Then if you hold on to the outside of those corners, you will see that we now have a square.
"You can just fold it this way, but I like to place it down onto a flat surface, and here I'm just folding both sides into the centre.
"Folding it in half, folding that in half and then folding it in half again.
"And that's how you fold a fitted sheet, aka witchcraft."
A third said: "I once told a guy on a date I had just learned how to fold a fitted sheet. He was not impressed. It's clear we did not have a second date."
