Colorado Springs police on Tuesday arrested a man suspected of purposely setting a fire that involved a semi-truck and nearby structures, according to an online blotter entry.
John Vonritter, 44, is being held at the El Paso County jail and is facing arson-related charges, police said.
At about 12:30 a.m., police were dispatched to assist the Colorado Springs Fire Department on a reported fire in the 400 block of Arrawanna Street, between East Platte Avenue and Bijou Street. When they arrived, they found an active fire, which CSFD was able to extinguish.
Two people were found at the scene, one of whom was taken to a local hospital and treated for unspecified injuries. The injured man, later identified as Vonritter, was then taken into custody.
