One of the most iconic laughs in entertainment is making its way to B.C. next fall, and it's going to be joined by plenty of other laughs as comedian Jimmy Carr recently announced a Canadian leg of his tour.
The British-Irish television host has a penchant for fancy suits, dark one-liners, not paying taxes, and spreading joy with his dolphin-like laugh.
Fans of U.K. game shows will likely recognize Carr as the host of several different programs, including 8 Out of 10 Cats, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Big Fat Quiz of the Year, and many others.
Since becoming a professional comedian in the early 2000s, Carr has released a dozen stand-up specials, including four Netflix specials, with his most recent being Natural Born Killer from 2024.
Now, Canadian fans will have a chance to see his morbid comedy and relentless heckler comebacks in person as the comedian embarks on a cross-country tour in late 2026.
The Laughs Funny tour, which has been going on since 2024, will stop off at more than 30 Canadian cities, six of which are in B.C.
Carr kicks off the Canadian leg of the tour in Victoria on Sept. 16, and will follow it up with shows in Abbotsford, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, and Prince George.
Oct. 25 - Peterborough, Ont. (Peterborough Memorial Centre)
Nov. 16 - Thunder Bay, Ont. (Thunder Bay Community Auditorium)
While fans are waiting for Carr to make his way across the pond, they'll be able to catch him on the big screen on Dec. 5 in the period parody film Fackham Hall, which he also wrote in addition to playing the role of a linguistically-challenged priest.
