Sweetwater Mansion, also known as Sweetwater Place, the Weeden Home or the Gov. Robert Patton House, is a plantation home that dates back to the early 1830s, when construction began on the home planned by Gen. John Brahan, a member of the Alabama Militia who fought under Andrew Jackson in the War of 1812.
