HGTV is giving away Bluffton home as part of the 2025 Dream Home sweepstakes. Here's how to enter.

BLUFFTON -- Millions will enter. One will win.

The annual HGTV Dream Home sweepstakes is set to kick off at 9 a.m. on Dec. 17. This year, the prize is a custom-built 3,000-square-foot house in Bluffton.

The three-bedroom, 3½-bath home is situated along the fairway of Berkeley Hall. It has an open-concept design with earthy tones and "coastal themes." The primary bedroom is located on the first floor; two guest bedrooms are upstairs. Off the kitchen is a laundry room and a dedicated pet-washing station. In the garage is a golf simulator and a private golf cart.

In addition to the home, the sweepstakes winner will receive a new 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC and $100,000 from Viva, along with a five-year supply of Viva paper towels.

Bluffton was chosen for the 2025 Dream Home in part because of the town's proximity to the coast and world-renowned golf courses, said the home's interior designer, Brian Patrick Flynn.

Location is based on a number of factors. The HGTV team wants to choose a spot that will resonate with people, an area they'd want to visit on vacation or move to. It also has to be fairly easy to access, typically with an airport within easy driving distance, Flynn said.

"We know that a lot of people who love HGTV are huge golf fanatics, and they also love warmer weather," Flynn said. "This had all the green lights you could possibly want to be a success."

The Bluffton home is the 10th designed by Flynn and isn't the first HGTV Dream Home built in the Lowcountry. The 2020 home was built on Hilton Head Island and won by a couple from Perry, Ga. It was sold by the couple later that year for $1.59 million.

Eligible participants can enter the sweepstakes daily at HGTV.com and FoodNetwork.com, where they will also find full details and the official rules, as well as additional home features. Those interested can submit up until the deadline of 5 p.m. Feb. 14. There will be a one-hour special showcasing the home on HGTV Jan. 1.

Last year, an estimated 80 million submissions were made to the sweepstakes.
