Who knew a cat could be so brave?! The internet is cheering for one senior cat who wasn't afraid to protect his home. A Ring camera caught the cat going after a pesky fox who was trying to nab one of the chickens on his farm. Not on Noodles' watch! The cat was so brave defending his little family. People were so impressed.

The video is so shocking. It shows the worst almost happening. The fox had the poor cat in its jaw. Just one swift chomp and it would all be over.

I've heard of a guard dog before, but never a guard cat. Noodles has a strong protective streak. That much is clear from the footage, which shows the cat leaping into action the absolute moment he sense danger.

The video is so intense. Shared by Jen Merriman, it shows the cat running like a speeding bullet once the fox had caught its prey. Then the senior cat ran after the fox, causing the fox to drop the chicken as it fled the scene. Success! The chicken was safe.

"Noodles protecting his chickens! And he's in his late 20s!," the proud cat mama wrote in the video's caption.

Isn't the coolest? Noodles really was a superhero. Even people in the comments section were cheering for the cat and his super ways.

"Your cat is in his LATE 20's!? That is amazing! Good job Noodle!!" praised one commenter.

"Noodles said if ANYONE is gonna eat that chicken it gonna be ME," someone else teased.

"THAT'S A GOOD OLD MAN! You better have spoiled him!" added another commenter.

While another commenter had an important suggestion: "Get another cat to help Noodles since he's getting old," they advised.

Are Cats Protective?

Like I said, we often think that dogs are the protective ones, but cats do have a protective streak. Cats can be very territorial when it comes to their humans. In fact, it's sometimes a problem when cats become a little too territorial. An overprotective cat is a behavior problem. One that a chat with an animal behaviorist can fix.
