A RARE collection of memorabilia once belonging to a legendary drummer has sold for almost £50,000 collectively at auction.
A collection of fashions once owned by Led Zeppelin's John Bonham went under the hammer in Stourbridge last week, fetching an eyewatering price.
A brown leather coat, which Fieldings Auctioneers said appeared "identical" to one worn on the front cover of Led Zeppelin's album II, was sold for £15,300.
However, the auctioneers were unable to confirm that they were for sure the same, and asked potential buyers to "satisfy themselves" that it was the same coat.

A 1970s western-style cream embroidered shirt that was worn for a shooting day for the film The Song Remains The Same also sold for £12,200.
Bonham's brother-in-law, Allan Weaver, co-signed the auction last Thursday (November 27) after the first suit, a pinstripe example made by Redditch tailors, John H. Robinson, was sold in September for £6,500.
Also under the hammer was a 1978 blue velvet suit, also created by John H. Robinson, which sold for £3,800, and two other western-style shirts, selling for £4,700 and £4,200.
A childhood and lifelong friend of Bonham, tailor Lawrence Robinson went on to make many of Bonham's suits, including his wedding attire.
After meeting at school aged 11, Mr Lawrence, whose shop is still standing tall in Alcester High Street, now run by his son, remained Bonham's only tailor, even as the drummer's fame grew.
He told Fieldings Auctioneers: "We would deliver a suit to John on the Friday for a gig or a party and he would come back on the Monday with the trashed white suit, asking us to make another."

Overall, the pieces went for just shy of £50,000, the auction house said.
"This is an extraordinary chance to celebrate the legacy of one of rock music's most influential drummers," said Rachel Holland, Director and Music and Entertainment Specialist for Fieldings Auctioneers. "Allan Weaver's amazing consignment allows fans and collectors to connect with John Bonham in a very personal way."
