"Love Is Blind" season 8 may be over, but fans need not fret -- more of the Netflix dating show is on the way, including a possible season in the Boston area.
Over the weekend, rumors started swirling on social media after some people reported spotting filming crews at a popular restaurant in South Boston.
While it's unclear whether the reports are true, the show did put out a casting call in the New England area last year.
The speculation that a Boston season could be on its way comes as the show's eighth season wrapped up with a reunion that aired Sunday night.
Here's everything we know so far.
Netflix said earlier this year that "Love Is Blind" has been renewed through season 10.
During Sunday's reunion, it was revealed that the upcoming ninth season will take place in Denver.
That means it's possible that season 10 could be held in Boston.
While Netflix didn't say when the new season of "Love Is Blind" will be released, it's possible that it could be later this year based on past release schedules.
The show typically puts out two seasons per year, including one around February/March and one in the fall around September/October.
Since season 8 just aired, if the upcoming seasons follow the same pattern, season 9 could come out this fall and season 10 could be released early next year. Historically, the seasons have been filmed a year in advance of airing.
On TikTok, several users said they saw filming crews and couples holding the signature "Love Is Blind" gold cups at spots around the Boston area.
Netflix's publicity team could not be immediately reached Monday, and one of the restaurants where filming is said to have taken place did not immediately respond to request for comment.
However, the show's casting team said last year that it was looking for singles in the area for a potential upcoming season.
"There's a level of authenticity and genuine character that I've seen in the time we've spent on the East Coast that makes me very excited because that is probably one of the key elements to success on 'Love Is Blind,'" Donna Driscoll, the executive vice president of casting at Kinetic Content Casting, told the USA TODAY Network.
"Love Is Blind" is a reality show that explores whether romantic love can form without knowing what the person you're dating looks like.
In it, 15 single men and 15 single women from the same region date without seeing each other over the course of 10 days.
The couples get to know each other inside a "pod," a room separated into two sections so participants can hear but not see each other. They can only meet each other face to face if they choose to get engaged.
The show, which is hosted by Vanessa and Nick Lachey, follows the couples from when they are inside the pods to when they walk down the aisle.
