The 149th birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, is being observed across the country today with reverence and respect.
Special ceremonies are being held nationwide, including in Karachi. A guard-changing ceremony will be held at Mazar-e-Quaid on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, members of the provincial cabinet, and other prominent figures will visit Mazar-e-Quaid, where they will lay floral wreaths and offer Fateha.
In his message, President Asif Ali Zardari said that today is a day not only to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam but also to remember his firm resolve and tireless struggle that played a fundamental role in the creation of Pakistan.
He said that as the nation faces various challenges, Quaid-e-Azam's leadership and principles continue to serve as a guiding light for the country.
According to the President, Quaid-e-Azam was a strong advocate of democracy, justice, and equality, and these values remain central to Pakistan's national journey. He added that the message of unity, faith, and discipline is still essential for development, social harmony, and strengthening national confidence.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his message to the nation on Quaid-e-Azam's 149th birth anniversary, said that the entire nation pays heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation on this day.
He said that Quaid-e-Azam's birth anniversary is a day of renewal of commitment, and adherence to his guiding principles is essential at both individual and national levels. The Prime Minister said that Quaid-e-Azam taught harmony and justice without discrimination of color, race, or religion, and that faith, unity, and discipline are guarantees of a bright national future.
On the occasion of the Founder of Pakistan's birth anniversary, seminars, conferences, and other events are also being held across the country.
