The event is scheduled to hold from 10am to 5pm at the Rotary Center, 10 Ladoke Akintola Street, GRA, Ikeja.
The prostrate cancer screening is organized in conjunction with the Lagos State Ministry of Health, Rotary Club of Victoria Island, Clarion CallCare of the USA, Synlab Nigeria and the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the USA.
Speaking about the event during the Business Meeting of BNI COASTAL Chapter, Lagos, Rotarian Winifred Ebiye, said prostrate cancer has become a night mare and killer and that only early detection and management can keep men safe. Many men are suffering in silence while others fail to take adequate care due to low awareness about the ailment and its treatment and management. She further pointed out that the two in one exercise (awareness seminar and free screening) is Rotary Club's contribution to better health for men and families.
The awareness seminar will proffer solutions to early detection, treatment and management of prostrate cancer. Health experts will be on hand to lead the seminar and conduct the screening. Men above 40 years of age are invited to attend and take advantage of the screening for better health
