President Donald Trump issued a sweeping declaration on Friday, announcing the immediate termination of any document or executive order signed by former President Joe Biden using an "Autopen."
In a post on Truth Social, the President alleged that the mechanical signing device was utilized without Biden's direct approval for the vast majority of his official acts. Trump claimed that up to 92% of documents signed during the previous administration are now "of no further force or effect."
"The Autopen is not allowed to be used if approval is not specifically given by the President of the United States," Trump wrote.
The President went on to accuse aides surrounding the former president of seizing control of the office. "The Radical Left Lunatics circling Biden around the beautiful Resolute Desk in the Oval Office took the Presidency away from him," he stated.

According to Trump's statement, the cancellation applies to all Executive Orders and other official documents not physically signed by Biden's hand. He argued that the operators of the device acted illegally, effectively bypassing the President's authority.
The statement also included a stark warning to his predecessor regarding any future legal challenges or testimony on the matter.
"Joe Biden was not involved in the Autopen process and, if he says he was, he will be brought up on charges of perjury," Trump added. "Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

The use of the autopen dates back to the Eisenhower administration and has been used by presidents from both parties to sign routine paperwork and, occasionally, legislation when away from Washington. However, the validity of its use generally rests on the presumption that the President authorized the specific signature.
President Trump's Friday decree implies that such authorization was never granted, effectively characterizing the bulk of the Biden administration's paper trail as unauthorized and void. The White House has not yet released a list of specific orders impacted by the move, though the "92%" figure suggests a near-total erasure of the previous term's administrative record.
