Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard has teased the ending of the beloved Netflix series, sharing that it is "bigger than I could have imagined".
At the end of the year, Stranger Things, the sci-fi thriller series that began in 2016, is set to resume in 1983, when school child Will Byers is abducted by a creature from the Upside Down. Soaring through four dramatic seasons, the series will come to an end with the fifth season.
Speaking in a new interview with SFX, (per What's On Netflix), Wolfhard was asked how he feels about his character's resolution at the end of the series. He shared, "I was definitely, definitely pleased with it."
The actor added, "And it was something that I feel was bigger than I could have imagined. I couldn't have imagined how big that moment felt, reading the final thing, and it ended in the best way it could have, when it comes to my character. Reading that for the first time was definitely a super-emotional experience.'
During the interview, Wolfhard also added that the new season blends high-stakes action with personal stakes, stating, "It becomes personal in a lot of ways." He also teased that sets for this season "are out of control," some of the biggest in the series' history.
Meanwhile, last month, Wolfhard confirmed that he is working on a biopic exploring the career of cult classic rock group The Replacements. For the project, Wolfhard is teaming up with his father, Eric Wolfhard, who is responsible for his son being a fan of the band, and producer Rich Peete.
Elsewhere in the Stranger Things world, Millie Bobby Brown has reportedly accused Stranger Things co-star David Harbour of "bullying and harassing" her on set. Harbour, who plays her adoptive father on-screen, has been cast into the limelight after singer-songwriter Lily Allen released her new album, West End Girl, which illustrated the breakdown of their marriage.
