Deputies Investigate West Hollywood Stabbing That Left Woman Critically Injured
Early Sunday morning, a young woman was critically injured in a stabbing that followed a fight in West Hollywood, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department alert.
Deputies were dispatched around 3:00 a.m. to the 8900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard after receiving reports of a fight. While responding, the call was upgraded to indicate a stabbing had occurred, officials said.
Deputies arrived to find a Hispanic woman in her early 20s suffering from a stab wound to her upper body. Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department treated her at the scene and transported her to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Due to the seriousness of the victim's injuries, homicide detectives were notified of the case.
According to ABC Eyewitness News, the fight was large and may have included 20 to 30 people, but investigators have not released details about any possible suspects.
