An unpiloted cargo spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) on December 16, heading back to Earth "packed with science", NASA said.
Footage from astronaut Don Pettit shows the Dragon cargo capsule undocking from the ISS, "carrying the spoils from our research," he said.
NASA reported that the spacecraft would make a parachute-assisted splashdown off the coast of Florida on December 17.
Filled with nearly 6,000 pounds of crew supplies, science investigations, and equipment, the spacecraft originally arrived to the orbiting laboratory on November 5 as the 31st commercial resupply. Credit: Don Pettit via Storyful
