Plans to build 135 new homes in Royal Wootton Bassett have been submitted to Wiltshire Council.
The homes are proposed for a site next to The Churchill pub on Swindon Road - the same road as a separate proposal for 425 houses.
The site sits on the northern edge of the town, south of the M4.
Gleeson Land promises up to 135 homes of mixed sizes and tenure, including 54 affordable units and the delivery of two-and-a-half hectares of open spaces on the 6.5 hectare site.
The homes would come with solar panels and air source heat pumps to provide hot water and heating.
A public consultation exercise in July attracted around 80 responses to Gleeson Land, with key themes raised through the consultation including the impact on traffic
congestion and transport, education provision and school capacity.
Respondents also raised the issues of protecting green space, housing needs and supply, local services, wildlife and biodiversity, and infrastructure and utilities.
A decision on the application is expected from Wiltshire Council in March 2026.
