Itron has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Locusview, Ltd., a U.S.- and Israel-based software and services company focused on the utility sector, for $525 million. The deal will be funded entirely with cash on hand and is expected to close in January 2026.
The acquisition brings Locusview's digital construction management platform into Itron's expanding portfolio of resiliency solutions. Itron stated that combining the two companies will strengthen its ability to support utilities and critical infrastructure providers seeking improved productivity, streamlined project execution, and enhanced operational efficiency.
Itron said the integration of Locusview's scalable SaaS platform aligns with the growing global demand for grid expansion, modernized construction workflows, and real-time data solutions that can support the accelerated buildout of critical energy and water infrastructure. The company noted that the transaction will also support broader goals around intelligent networks and sustainable resource management.
