The newest Amazon Fire TV sets just got an upgrade that gives them access to a massive library of Xbox consoles.
Xbox Cloud Gaming is now available on some Amazon Fire TV models after a roll out on the company's streaming devices like the Fire TV Stick earlier this year.
The Xbox Cloud Gaming streaming portal, which brings access to some of the best Xbox games on demand for Game Pass subscribers, is now available on the Fire TV 4-Series and Fire TV Omni QLED series sets.
That means, with a compatible wireless controller (even if its a DualSense PS5 controller), gamers can get stuck in to the likes of Call of Duty, without splashing out on a physical Xbox console. They'll also be able play games they've previously purchased directly as part of the 'stream your own game' feature.
Amazon and Microsoft are planning to bring the feature to plenty more Amazon Fire TV sets and devices in the new year, but until now these are the compatible devices:

As Microsoft brings the Xbox app and cloud gaming to more platforms and more and more devices, sales of its consoles continue to plummet.
Data suggests Xbox console sales in November 2025 were down 70% year on year. Game Pass Ultimate is available on a tremendous number of devices now. Meanwhile, Microsoft has practically abandoned keeping its first party properties as exclusives. So PS5 owners don't require an additional console to play first party titles like Indiana Jones. New third-party Xbox handhelds might also have contributed to the shortfall in traditional Xbox hardware.
