Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger's bizarre first date at a barn

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger share never-before-heard details about their unconventional first date.

Katherine, the eldest daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, revealed that she chose an unexpected location for their first outing in 2018, telling "Extra," "I took him to the barn on the first date. We didn't even know each other, and he was trying to figure out where we should go on our first date."

To make the unusual date happen, Katherine drove to Carpinteria, California, to introduce Pratt to her horse.

"It was definitely a risk to take, like a five-hour drive with someone that you don't know, but it lended itself to a lot of talking and conversation," she explained.

Katherine's bond with horses has long been a meaningful part of her life. She even features her beloved horse Brandy in her children's book "Kat and Brandy," described as "an inspiring, empowering, and heartwarming tale about the powerful connection between animals and humans."

The pair originally met at church, where Pratt later admitted he was immediately interested. The movie star has joked about trying to remain discreet, saying he found himself "sneaking glances" at her.

During an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show," he explained, "You kind of don't want to be like, 'Whoa, who is that?' at church, you know what I mean. But I was kind of sneaking some glances and I was like, 'Who is that? Anyway, what am I doing? Come on, I'm broken, help me.'"

Pratt, who married his wife back in 2019, has said their relationship progressed quickly and called Katherine the "woman of [his] dreams." He added, "God has a fast-forward button. When it's right, boom. You fall in love, you get married. Now we have two beautiful daughters to add to my family."
