Who Is Seth Rogen's Wife? All About Lauren Miller Rogen (and Her "Superbad "Cameo!)

Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen's love story began with a birthday party.

The actors were introduced by mutual friends at a 2005 event, per Glamour. They married at a vineyard in Sonoma County, Calif., in 2011 after six years of dating -- a ceremony they delayed only because they were "very comfortable" in their relationship, according to Seth.

"[Marriage] was just one of those things I kept putting off for no good reason," he told Redbook in April 2014. "At least I know she didn't want to be with me for my money, because I didn't have any back then!"

Since then, the couple have worked together on films and even started their own non-profit together.

So, who is Seth Rogen's wife? Here's everything to know about Lauren Miller Rogen and her relationship with the actor.

Lauren grew up in Lakeland, Fla., and attended a specialized school focused on the arts. In January 2025, she told The Lakeland Ledger that her experience as a child at Harrison School for the Arts largely shaped who she is as an adult.

"Growing up in Lakeland and having the fortunate opportunity to attend Harrison School for the Arts had a significant impact on my life and career path," she said. "I am lucky to have been part of a community that nurtured creativity."

Lauren added that the environment bolstered her passion for screenwriting and other art forms she's made a career of in the past several decades.

"As a creative child, having such a special space where I could explore my passions, connect with like-minded peers and be supported by dedicated teachers shaped not only my confidence but also my love for art and storytelling," Lauren shared. "That foundation has supported me throughout my life, influencing my career and the way I approach everything I do."

Lauren has numerous acting, writing, directing and producing credits to her name. She's had roles in Superbad, Sausage Party, Grey's Anatomy and several other projects, but her journey to success wasn't an easy one.

In an August 2012 interview with Vulture, Lauren reflected on the slow start to her movie-making aspirations, noting that the comedy she co-wrote with Katie Anne Naylon, For a Good Time, Call..., was a turning point in her career.

"I'm not even going to say it started with me, but the initial kernel was my acting career or how I didn't have one," Lauren shared. "I'd been spinning my wheels, going on like five auditions a year, and nothing was going to happen out of that. If I looked like a supermodel, maybe?"

Rather than wait for their script to get picked up by someone else, Lauren suggested that she and Naylon bring it to life themselves.

"I'm tired of having no career," Lauren wrote in a letter to Naylon. "If I'm ever going to make it, we need to give this script an opportunity. Let's make it on our own."

In May 2005, Seth and Lauren were introduced by two of their friends -- Will Reiser, who went on to write Seth's 2011 dramedy 50/50, and the woman he was dating at the time, who was close with Lauren.

The couple were going to a birthday party, and invited Seth and Lauren to tag along. During a November 2015 interview with Haute Living, Seth recalled, "Will and I were friends, and he said that the girl he was dating had a friend, and that we might like each other."

During her August 2012 conversation with Vulture, Lauren shared her side of their fateful meeting.

"Will used to date a friend of mine, and they arranged a night out for the four of us," she said. "I was at her house, and she said, 'My friend Seth is coming out. I want you to like him.' "

Lauren said she didn't know who Seth was at the time, but their similar personalities set her at ease. "I was really shy around guys, but he was also awkward and weird around girls," she recalled.

The pair ended up getting along so well that they left their friends to continue the night together, going out for grilled cheese sandwiches and playing Spanish Scrabble until the sun rose, per Haute Living.

Seth and Lauren have worked together many times over the years, with Lauren making cameos in several of Seth's movies. During her conversation with Vulture, Lauren said that she auditioned for most of her roles -- or they happened by accident.

"Superbad was the first one we did together. We had been together for a year and a half, and I knew the whole crew, and I was just there to be on set to be supportive, and on the day, whoever it was who was supposed to do that scene couldn't do it," the actress recalled. "I was sitting with one of the producers, Shauna Robertson, and I don't think she even knew I was an actor, but she said, 'Do you want to do it?' "

Lauren added, "50/50, I had to audition for it."

Seth and Lauren got engaged in October 2010. Though the Freaks and Geeks alum had plans for a proposal, he found himself spontaneously popping the question in an unexpected location.

"I proposed to Lauren when she was changing in our closet," Seth told Glamour in December 2014. "I had more elaborate plans, but once I got the ring, I felt like I had a nuke hidden in my garage, and I had to unload it. She was not entirely clothed at the time."

Despite the unconventional proposal, Lauren agreed to marry the actor. "I got down on one knee, and she said yes, and then we ate buffalo wings and watched Top Chef," Seth shared. "It was a great night."

After a year-long engagement, Seth and Lauren wed in Sonoma County, Calif., on Oct. 2, 2011. The ceremony took place at a vineyard, where family, friends and famous guests -- including Seth's frequent costars Jonah Hill, Adam Sandler and Paul Rudd -- watched the couple exchange vows.

Nine years later, Seth celebrated their wedding anniversary with a sweet Instagram post that gave fans a peek into their special day. In the photo, Seth and Lauren played a car racing game while their guests looked on.

"Happy anniversary to us!! I can't believe I've been lucky enough to find the perfect partner to go through life with," he wrote in the caption. "After 9 years married and over 15 years together, I love @laurenmillerrogen more every day. Here's me beating her at video games at our wedding."

Seth has been outspoken about his and Lauren's decision to be child-free. During a March 2023 appearance on The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett podcast, Seth explained that he and Lauren never had the desire to follow the traditional blueprint for marriage.

"Some people want kids, some people don't want kids. I think a lot of people have kids before they even think about it, from what I've seen," he said. "Honestly, you just are told, 'You go through life, you get married, you have kids. That's what happens.' And me and my wife, neither of us were like that."

Seth added that, though the conversation arose a few times over the years, he and Lauren are enjoying being child-free. "Honestly, the older we get, the more happy and reaffirmed we are with our choice," he said.

Alzheimer's disease runs in Lauren's family. Her maternal grandparents, uncle and mother have all died after being diagnosed with the degenerative memory illness, per The Lakeland Ledger.

Shortly after the couple began dating, Lauren's mother began showing symptoms of Alzheimer's, with an official diagnosis following a few years later, Seth told Glamour. After seeing her family members deteriorate from the disease -- and witnessing the toll it took on her father as her mother's caretaker -- Seth and Lauren decided to found Hilarity for Charity, a non-profit organization, for Alzheimer's research and awareness.

In his Glamour essay, Seth recalled being inspired to take action against Alzheimer's in any way he and Lauren could.

"The depressing thing about Alzheimer's is you can't do anything a lot of the time. But just sitting there, watching it happen, was emotionally brutal. So we started Hilarity for Charity to raise money for research and awareness," he explained.

In their joint interview with Haute Living, Lauren explained that it was important for her and Seth to incorporate comedy in their cause. "It's such a sad and heavy disease, and all the [existing] events surrounding it are more serious, and rightly so -- but we wanted to do the anti-that. While those are meaningful and necessary, our way, into pretty much anything, is comedy," she said.

"We're comedy writers," she continued. "The reason it's been so natural for us is that it's natural for us. I'm a big believer that when things are sad, all you can do is laugh."

Seth launched his cannabis home goods brand, Houseplant, in March 2019. In January 2023, the Green Lantern actor revealed the company may have never existed without Lauren's encouragement.

"She had done ceramics, and she just thought I would like it," he told PEOPLE at the time. "And she kind of implored me to go take lessons with her."

Seth shared that "the first things I started making" were ashtrays, which he ultimately began manufacturing through the brand.

"Lauren knew that I would enjoy that and knew that it would speak to my taste and sensibilities," he said. "We would not have made these ashtrays if she hadn't encouraged me to start doing pottery and, in general, held my hand throughout the process."
