Barclays has revealed two senior appointments within its Private Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM) divisions in the UK and Crown Dependencies.
Sid Azad has been appointed as head of Mass Affluent and Growth, where he will oversee the integrated Mass Affluent franchise and contribute to the overall growth strategy for PBWM in the UK and Crown Dependencies.
Azad has over two decades of experience in global financial services, most recently serving as a Partner at McKinsey & Company
In that role, he co-led the European Wealth & Asset Management practice, advising banks, insurers, and wealth managers on digital transformation, growth strategies, and the redesign of operating models.
In addition, Barclays has announced a leadership change in the Crown Dependencies, with Nick May set to take over from Paul Savery as Head of Crown Dependencies and join the PBWM leadership team in November, following Savery's retirement.
May rejoined Barclays in August 2024 and is currently the global head of the Fiduciaries business.
He previously held senior positions at HSBC, including roles as head of Europe and International, and head of Channel Islands Private Banking.

In June this year, Barclays appointed former HSBC banker Farzad Billimoria as the new head of its private bank in the UAE.
He will lead the local team, enhance governance, and promote growth in the UAE, establishing it as a strategic hub for the Middle East and international markets.
