LOUISIANA, La. (KPEL News) - Another week, another recall to tell you about. This one covers a popular detergent that many of us use if we have sensitivities or clothing items that are a little more delicate than most.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the detergent may be contaminated with Pseudomonas species, including Pseudomonas oleovorans, a bacteria commonly found in soil and water. While healthy individuals are generally not affected, those with weakened immune systems or using external medical devices could face a serious risk of infection.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported as of now, but Reckitt is urging all customers to stop using the product immediately.
For more details, visit www.woolite.us/Voluntary-Recall or contact Reckitt at 800-228-4722, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.
This recall is part of a Fast Track process coordinated with the CPSC to ensure consumer safety and remove potentially hazardous products from the market quickly.
