PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Dec, 2025) Secretary Information Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Bakhtiar Khan said that KP Province has produced great actors who not only brought glory to Pakistan at home but also enhanced the country's image abroad.
He said that after rendering outstanding services in the field of acting, writing books on their memories and various subjects is not only commendable but also worthy of emulation.
He expressed these views at China Window during the book launch ceremony of renowned former actor Aman's book "Those Twenty-One Golden Days of Life." The book is a travelogue describing the journey from Pakistan to the Two Holy Mosques.
Former actor Jameel Babar, poet Bushra Farrukh, Kulsoom Zaib, Shazma Haleem, Haji Aslam Khan, Professor Abaseen Yousafzai, Zulfiqar Qureshi, and personalities from various walks of life attended the ceremony.
Dr. Bakhtiar Khan said that actor Aman not only impressed film audiences with his talent but also included the rituals of Umrah in his book.
He added that Aman has also provided details of the sacred sites he visited in Makkah and Madinah, which undoubtedly makes the book interesting for readers. He congratulated Aman for beautifully documenting his journey and expressed confidence that the book would also hold literary significance.
Speaking on the occasion, veteran film actor Jameel Babar said that Aman has presented his journey to the Haramain Sharifain as a spiritual voyage, and the book reflects the author's spiritual ecstasy and insight.
He said that documenting one's experiences after performing Umrah is indeed a commendable step.
Renowned poet, writer, and intellectual Professor Abaseen Yousafzai paid glowing tribute to actor Aman for his new publication.
He said that Aman was a proud actor of the past, and after acting, he has authored his second book, which is no less than an achievement in the field of literature.
Abaseen Yousafzai said that the importance and usefulness of Aman's new book cannot be denied, and he believes that those intending to perform Umrah can benefit greatly from it.
Renowned poet and author of several books, Bushra Farrukh, while commenting on the book, said that in every person's life there comes a special moment when the road of life takes a new turn and leads to a path from which there is no return, and it was this very moment that compelled actor Aman to write his travelogue. She termed the publication an important addition to the world of literature.
Prominent researcher Haji Aslam Khan highlighted the importance of the book and expressed confidence that readers would benefit from it in gaining awareness about the rituals of Umrah.
Addressing the ceremony, author and actor Aman said that performing Umrah was a spiritual test for him, and after going through it, he shaped his journey into a book so that readers could gain awareness not only about Umrah but also about the sacred places of visitation. He said that in Pakistan, negative perceptions are often associated with actors, but actors are also human beings with compassionate hearts who worship Allah and serve His creation. He added that for those who are blessed with performing Hajj and Umrah, the journey to the Haramain Sharifain becomes an unforgettable experience.
Aman said he included his memories in the book so that readers could learn about the rituals of Umrah and gain knowledge about the sacred sites. He expressed confidence that readers of the book, whenever they go to perform Umrah, would definitely visit the sacred places.
He also highlighted the issues faced by actors and demanded that facilities be provided to artists and actors so that their lives can be made easier in the present era of digital and social media.
Earlier, Secretary Information Dr. Bakhtiar Khan, former actor Jameel Babar, poet Bushra Farrukh, actress Shazma Haleem, Professor Abbasin Yousafzai, and Aman formally launched the book.
