A rock band from Basingstoke has been crowned Battle of the Bands champions.
Hivemind, formed in 2022 by guitarist and vocalist Seb Roberts, drummer Jack Grant, and bassist Poppy, emerged victorious at The Hobbit Pub in Southampton on December 4.
The band formed while studying at Queen Mary's College, and this month beat My Black Poison, Stereo Brothers, and Exhilaro after winning the second heat in November.
Seb said: "Being able to play together almost every day was transformational.

"QMC gave us the space to write, record, and develop quickly as a band, which really helps when you're playing shows like this."
Their triumphant performance included their crowd-pleaser, Midas, and a festive cover of I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, which had everyone in a party mood.

After being crowned champions, the band are now planning on releasing fresh music in 2026.
Poppy said: "We've grown so much since our early recordings.
"We've got some new tracks that absolutely hit live, and we can't wait to get them recorded."

The band are also 'buzzing' about the Metal 2 Masses competition in Oxford next year, beginning at the Jericho Tavern on April 4.
Jack added: "It'll be another big step and a chance to test ourselves alongside some major UK and international bands."
