Oyo Governor, Seyi Makinde, will on Monday, November 24, 2025, present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the State House of Assembly.
The presentation will mark the seventh budget proposal the governor has submitted since assuming office in 2019.
In preparation for the fiscal plan, the state government recently concluded a series of Stakeholders' Consultative and Engagement Meetings across the seven geopolitical zones of the state, where residents and community leaders shared their expectations for the 2026 budget.
Additionally, the Executive Council, along with Ministries, Departments and Agencies, rounded off the Treasury Board Sessions earlier in the week, finalising the budget estimates ahead of the governor's formal presentation to lawmakers.
The proposed budget is expected to outline the administration's priorities for the 2026 fiscal year, with emphasis on inclusive governance and continued development across the state.
