Law and order issues in Ludhiana: BJP blasts Punjab's AAP govt | Ludhiana News - The Times of India

Ludhiana: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district president Rajnesh Dhiman accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) govt of allowing Punjab's law and order to "deteriorate badly" since taking power. Speaking after the broad daylight murder of 26-year-old kabaddi player Tejpal Singh in Jagraon on Friday, Dhiman claimed industrialists, businessmen, and leaders are being targeted daily. He asserted that police are proving ineffective against gangsters carrying out target killings and gang wars. Dhiman criticized chief minister Bhagwant Mann, stating the AAP govt has betrayed the people's trust. He claimed citizens are unsafe amid daily robberies and murders, yet AAP boasts that law and order is fine. The BJP leader accused the chief minister of "flattering political bosses" and doing "false propaganda" with Arvind Kejriwal in other states, leaving Punjab to fend for itself. Dhiman demanded Mann resign on moral grounds if he cannot handle the state, predicting voters would oust the AAP in the 2027 elections.
