Healing On A Plate is relaunching this month with a special one-day event on Women's Health Day, on September 20, from 10am to 4pm.
The day will focus on holistic tools to ease the symptoms of illnesses experienced by women.
Helene Anderson-Rosembert, event organiser, has been trying to spread holistic health advice after natural remedies healed her arthritis.
Mrs Anderson-Rosembert said: "I am looking to run a series of events to promote healthy lifestyles, for both men and women.
"I have been running vegan cookery classes and cooking demonstrations in Walton since January this year and they have been much more popular than I expected.
"When I was a teenager, I was stricken with severe arthritis and I spent seven years trying to find a holistic way to heal myself.
"Eventually, I found a natural health practitioner who identified it was a problem in my microbiome which was causing the arthritis.
"This was long before gut health became popular and within three months I was healed.
"As a result I have always been interested in holistic ways to stay healthy, and that is what my aim is with this event."
There will be a breast health consultant, sober coach and natural skincare consultant who will doing demonstrations and offering samples of products on the day.
Mrs Anderson-Rosembert said: "Various foods and supplements readily available in supermarkets and health shops can help ease the symptoms of menopause, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis and fibroids.
"We will be doing a hands-on cooking exercise to make a shared lunch incorporating many of the foods that we have discussed.
"In the afternoon, we will look at how we can use mindfulness and nature to heal.
"Here on the coast we are blessed with an abundance of beautiful beaches and green spaces that research is proving time and again can improve our mental and physical health.
"The participants will have a foot bath using essential oils and mineral salts, we will be trying hand reflexology, and to finish the day we will have an informal cacao ceremony and relaxing meditation."
