Famous Singer Halts Performance Out Of Concern For Infant In Crowd

Maluma, a Colombian singer, paused his concert Saturday in Mexico City out of concern for a young infant in the crowd.

The famous rapper was performing as part of his "+Pretty +Dirty World Tour" when he stopped long enough to scold a mother for putting her baby at risk in the loud arena. Video of the moment has been widely circulated online.

"With all due respect ... how old are they?" Maluma asked the mother in the now-viral clip. "A year old? Less? A year. Do you think it's a good idea to bring a one-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are this fucking high? Where the sound is this loud?"

The crowd remained silent as Maluma conveyed his thoughts to the fan and cheered in support of the singer's concern for the child.

"That baby doesn't even know what it's doing here," he said in a translated video.

"Next time, protect their ears or something. For real. It's heavy. It's your responsibility," he said.

Maluma remained zoned in on the mother, determined to make his message clear.

"You're waving them around like they're a toy. That baby doesn't want to be there, for real," he said.

"I'm telling you with all love and respect, now that I'm a father ... would never bring them to a concert."

The crowd voiced their support as he continued.

"For the next time, be a bit more aware." (RELATED: 'American Idol' Star Halts Concert After Allegedly Witnessing Act Of Domestic Abuse In The Crowd)

The identity of the mother and exact age of the child have not been publicly disclosed. It's unclear if the mother remained for the duration of the concert.
