Led Zeppelin Brings Multiple Albums Back To The Charts

Led Zeppelin Brings Multiple Albums Back To The Charts

Led Zeppelin changed the sound and look of rock music decades ago, and while they haven't been together in more than 40 years, they are still hugely popular. The band manages to return to the charts in the United Kingdom, where they formed and first began developing a following more than half a century ago.

This week is especially notable for Led Zeppelin, as they don't simply see one of their popular projects barely make its way back onto one chart. Two of their albums return to the same ranking, and they're not far apart from one another.

Led Zeppelin IV is the highest-ranking of the group's two current wins in the U.K. That set, which is also known as Four Symbols -- including on the charts -- is back at No. 20 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums ranking.

Meanwhile, Led Zeppelin II reappears on the same list. That project, their aptly-titled sophomore release as a band, breaks back onto the same roster at No. 29.

Both Led Zeppelin II and Four Symbols have already spent hundreds of weeks on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. Between them, they've managed more than 800 frames on the list of the bestselling rock and metal full-lengths across the pond. The band's fourth studio effort is the sturdier of the two, as it's racked up nearly 600 turns, while Led Zeppelin II is about to hit 250 stints on the ranking.

Four Symbols is one of the band's 10 No. 1s on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. Led Zeppelin II hasn't yet reached the summit, though it has come close, as it's peaked at No. 3.

Led Zeppelin rarely needs a reason to return to the charts, and the band is likely succeeding at the moment on the rock and metal tally due to a number of factors. Both Four Symbols and Led Zeppelin II were reissued as deluxe editions 10 years ago, and those sets are likely enjoying something of a small anniversary boost.

Fans of the band are also excited at the moment as they wait to see the first documentary that the musicians have taken part in. Becoming Led Zeppelin is expected to arrive in theaters in February 2025, and there are rumors that tickets will go on sale very soon. The online chatter among longtime lovers of the band may also be playing a role in the current comeback -- and of course, there are still those who are buying these collections simply for the love of the music.
