Tomorrow School Holiday Live: Most schools in North India will be closed tomorrow due to festivals like Bhai Dooj, and Chhath, following Diwali. The Uttar Pradesh government has extended the Diwali holidays, keeping schools closed until October 23, 2025. Parents and students are advised to check official school notifications for holiday updates. Students will receive five days off, covering all major festivals -- Dhanteras, Chhoti Diwali, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Dooj. Many schools began announcing holidays starting Monday, October 13.
Amid heavy rain alerts in several districts of the state due to the intensification of the northeast monsoon, the administration in Chennai on Tuesday declared a holiday for schools and colleges on October 22.
The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) in Chennai has predicted heavy rains in coastal districts and issued red, orange, and yellow alerts for various parts of the state.
