MGM University celebrated its sixth Foundation Day today with great enthusiasm at the Rukmini Auditorium of the University in the presence of eminent dignitaries. The Chief Guest on this occasion was Dr. Ajay Bhamare, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Mumbai. Also present were Dr. P. M. Jadhav, Vice Chairman of MGM; noted educationist Bhausaheb Rajale; Prof.Dr. Vilas Sapkal, Vice-Chancellor of MGM University, Dr. Ashish Gadekar, Registrar, along with all Deans, Professors, Students, members of the MGM family, and other distinguished guests.
The day began with a tree plantation at the Chintangaah premises, followed by flag hoisting and the University Anthem. The NCC students presented a Guard of Honour to the Chief Guest.
A documentary showcasing the journey of MGM University was screened during the program. On this occasion, dignitaries released MGM Abhivyakti 2025 Newsletter, Sarngadeva Sarani - Research Pathways in Shastra and Prayoga (Volume 2), and the bilingual research journal Media Messenger. They also launched the Training and Placement Portal, jointly developed by MGM University and Discover Lab.AI.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between MGM University and the University of Mumbai in the presence of the dignitaries. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Vilas Sapkal, Vice-Chancellor of MGM University, and Dr. Ajay Bhamare, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Mumbai.
The program began with the welcome address by Registrar Dr. Ashish Gadekar. The proceedings were conducted by Prof. Medha Naik and Prof. Sarfaraz Ali, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Deputy Registrar Dr. Parminder Kaur. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
