OnePlus appears to be building something ambitious. Fresh leaks surrounding the upcoming OnePlus Turbo reveal a performance-focused mid-ranger. This could redefine what people expect from gaming phones in 2026. We're talking about a nearly 9,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 power, and a super-fast 165Hz OLED display.
In a post on X by Abhishek Yadav, a recent Geekbench listing for model number PLU110 shows the OnePlus Turbo battery paired with key specs. Inside, you'll find a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, 16GB RAM, and Android 16. This positions the device as a high-end "Turbo" mid-ranger rather than an ultra-flagship. Multiple reports suggest OnePlus is planning at least two Turbo models. One performance version uses a higher-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while another uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.
The standout feature is obviously the OnePlus Turbo battery. A 9,000mAh cell is massive even by gaming phone standards. For context, the recently launched OnePlus 15R comes with a 7,400mAh battery. Meanwhile, most flagships like the Galaxy S25 Ultra top out around 5,000mAh. This capacity could deliver genuine multi-day usage, especially at more modest refresh rates.
Display specs look equally impressive. Leaks point to a 165Hz OLED panel at roughly 1.5K resolution. That makes it one of the fastest displays ever on a OnePlus-branded device. The Turbo line is also rumored to focus heavily on gaming. Expect aggressive cooling systems and fast charging between 80W and 100W. This aligns with OnePlus's recent launch of the Turbo series as a separate product line aimed at mobile gamers.
OnePlus is expected to debut the Turbo first in China around January 2026. A rebrand for global markets will likely follow later on. Several reports hint that the Turbo might stay China-exclusive initially. However, it could reappear globally as a Nord 6-class device with similar specs. If successful, global buyers could see this hardware blueprint in their next affordable gaming phone.
