A new café to provide a warm, welcoming environment for the community is opening this winter.
Carnforth Town Council has announced the opening of a new Cosy Café space at Carnforth Civic Hall as part of the Warm Spaces initiative.
The Cosy Café will be open Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm from December 15-19, reopening on January 5 through to March 27, 2026, offering a friendly space for residents to relax, connect, and stay warm through the colder months.
Carnforth Town Mayor Councillor Rowland Parker said: "We believe everyone deserves a warm space this winter. The Cosy Café is more than just a place to stay warm, it's a hub for community connection and support."
Visitors can enjoy free hot drinks, toast, and teacakes, and a chance to catch up with friends or meet new people over newspapers, bingo, dominoes and cards.
