Malta International Airport has unveiled newly redesigned websites for the airport and the MET Office, offering a fresher look, improved navigation and an enhanced user experience, the company said.
The revamped airport website has been divided into two distinct sections, Passenger and Corporate, to enable users to easily access the information most relevant to them.
The Passenger section features several new tools designed to facilitate the travel experience, including a car park calculator, that will assist airport guests in estimating parking costs before arriving at the airport, downloadable airport maps for easier wayfinding, and an updated flight finder functionality that allows users to search for flight options through an intuitive interface, the company said.
Meanwhile, the Corporate section provides a dedicated space where company shareholders, media representatives and business partners can access corporate information, including media kits, traffic reports, financial results and business opportunities. Here, visitors can also find a comprehensive Corporate Responsibility segment where information about the Malta Airport Foundation and the projects it has undertaken, the airport's sustainability reports and the company's long-term Net Zero Carbon Plan have been made available, it said.
"This redesign is in line with Malta International Airport's vision to provide an excellent experience to our guests, even before they set foot at the airport," Tina Lombardi, Senior Vice President for Commercial Development and Strategy at Malta International Airport, said. "Ensuring that our passengers and business partners have easy access to reliable information is a key part of this, as we strive to remain a transparent and customer-focused company."
As part of the upgrade, Malta International Airport has also introduced significant improvements to the MET Office website. The 3-day weather forecast is now presented in greater detail, breaking down predictions into morning, afternoon and evening segments. In addition, updated weather iconography offers clearer depictions of expected conditions.
In collaboration with the Research and Advisory Services Directorate within the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries, and Animal Rights, the MET Office has also expanded its dataset to include weather information collected from additional weather stations across the islands, with this enhanced network strengthening the accuracy of local meteorological reporting for various stakeholders.
