Gloucestershire County Council has announced a temporary closure of part of Cirencester Road in Tetbury Town.

This closure will take place from outside 96 Cirencester Road to outside 102 Cirencester Road, for approximately 31 metres.

The restrictions, which started on November 10, are expected to remain in place until November 14, or until the installation of a new water connection is completed.

Alternative routes will be signed on site, and pedestrian access to premises will be maintained.

In Somerford Keynes Parish, Spratsgate Lane will also face a temporary closure.

The closure will extend from the county boundary to its junction with the road from Even Road to Spratsgate Lane, covering approximately 1948 metres.

This closure is expected to occur from November 24 to November 29, for trial hole investigation works.

Unfortunately, due to excavation in the middle of the narrow lane, pedestrian access cannot be maintained during this period.

Additionally, Spratsgate Lane will be closed for works on behalf of OCU Group.

The C181 will be closed from the road from Spratsgate Lane to the west of The Byre to Spratsgate Lane in Siddington, covering a distance of 1,056 metres.

The 400986 will be closed from Spratsgate Lane to Spine Road West in Somerford Keynes, spanning 1,468 metres.

These closures are expected to last from November 24 to December 6, 2025, or until the works are completed.

As with previous closures, pedestrian access cannot be maintained due to excavation.

In Andoversford Parish, various roads will also face temporary closures.

The C149 from Upper Dowdeswell to Gloucester Road will be closed from Gloucester Road to The Bungalow for 74 metres.

Another section of the C149, the minor road from A436, will be closed from Gloucester Road to A436 for 401 metres.

These closures are necessary for new broadband connection works and are expected to occur during various times on a rolling programme starting November 24.

The presence of approved signage will indicate when the closures are in force, and it is anticipated that all works will be completed by December 11.

For further information, Gloucestershire Highways can be contacted at 08000 514 514 or through their website at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

As always, alternative routes will be signed on site, and pedestrian access to premises will be maintained wherever possible.
