BCCI to exact revenge on PCB's Mohsin Naqvi by getting him sacked from ICC: Report - Inside Sport India

As per reports, the BCCI is planning to propose to the ICC to remove PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi as a director amid the Asia Cup drama

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to ask the International Cricket Council (ICC) to sack Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi as a director in the global body. The reports comes amid the Pakistan administrator staying adamant over not wanting to handover the Asia Cup Trophy to winners India after they refused to collect the trophy from him. On Friday, reports claimed that Naqvi still insisted on the Indian team personally collecting the trophy from him and that it still remains locked in his ACC office.

As per news agency PTI, India are set to raise the conduct of ACC chairman Naqvi after the Asia Cup final with the ICC. The report also claims that the BCCI are expected to propose sacking him as an ICC director. A source told the publication that PCB chairman Naqvi did not have any right to insist handing over the trophy to the Indian team or to refuse to send it to the BCCI, who were the official hosts for the event.

"It remains to be seen what will be the long term ramifications for the PCB or Naqvi because the BCCI is clear he (Naqvi) didn't have any right to insist on handing the trophy himself to the Indian team and refusing to send it to the BCCI who were official hosts of the event," a source was quoted as saying by PTI.

In the ACC Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on September 30, Naqvi made it clear that he won't simply hand over the Asia Cup trophy to the BCCI. Two weeks later, his demand remains the same.
