NEW YORK (PIX11) - A second American Airlines flight was diverted to John F. Kennedy Airport in two days, a spokesperson confirmed to PIX11 News.
Flight 732, with service to London from Charlotte, North Carolina, was diverted to New York early Saturday morning for a mechanical issue, according to the American Airlines representative.

The flight was scheduled to re-depart on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and customers were provided with hotel accommodations.
The cause of the mechanical issue was not immediately made known.
According to FlightAware, American Airlines Flight 732 departed from Charlotte Douglas International Airport at about 9:08 p.m. local time. After being diverted twice in the air, it landed at JFK Airport at around 3:32 a.m.
The report comes after American Airlines Flight 1722 was also diverted to JFK Airport on Thursday because of a bird strike. Flight 1722 was heading to Charlotte, North Carolina from LaGuardia Airport when one of the plane's engines was disabled by the bird strike.
