WAYNE COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) - Drug enforcement officers in Northeast Ohio say "extremely dangerous" pills are off the street following a traffic stop.
According to a press release from Medway Drug Enforcement Agency, on Friday, agents stopped a known drug trafficker for traffic violations.
A Wooster resident was found to be in possession of 89 pressed fentanyl pills, according to the release.
She was taken to the Wayne County Jail, according to agents. The woman was already out on bond in another case.
According to the DEA, laboratory testing shows 7 out of 10 pills seized in 2023 contained a potentially deadly dose of fentanyl.
The DEA reports 2 milligrams of fentanyl can be lethal.
Agents said a toddler was in the car at the time. Child services were contacted as a result, according to a press release.
