The Raspberry Pi AI HAT+ is the latest addition to the Raspberry Pi AI product line, offering up to 26 TOPS of compute power for AI applications. Building on the features of the Raspberry Pi AI Kit and AI Camera, the AI HAT+ enhances AI processing capabilities with two available models: a 13 TOPS version with the Hailo-8L accelerator and a 26 TOPS version featuring the Hailo-8 accelerator.
Both models seamlessly fit with the Raspberry Pi HAT+ specification, automatically switching to PCIe Gen 3.0 mode to utilize the full potential of the Hailo-8 accelerator, according to the announcement. The 26 TOPS model allows users to run more complex neural networks in real time and supports multiple networks simultaneously, enabling tasks such as object detection, pose estimation, and segmentation from a single camera feed.
