The Belchertown girls basketball team notched its first win of the season behind a 16-point game from Aubrey Klingensmith, followed closely by 15 points for Morghan Litz.
The final 60-33 result evened out the Orioles' early record on Tuesday night. Sophomore Gabriella Slovack pitched in 10 additional points to propel Belchertown to the win.
For Chicopee Comp, Trinity McCarthy netted 11 points throughout the game in addition to nine by Sheyenne Santiago. The Colts are still searching for their first win as they take on West Springfield on Friday at 7 p.m.
At the same time, Belchertown will host Westfield as they capitalize on the momentum and look to continue the trend moving forward.
