New Wicklow tourism proposal will help create public pathway to hillfort older than Egypt's pyramids

A new proposal to create managed public access to the Pinnacle Hillfort at Rathcoran on Baltinglass Hill has been described as a potential game changer for tourism in west Wicklow by local TD Edward Timmins.

The plan outlines the development of five small pods within an existing mature forest area, along with a modest car park at road level. These facilities would support the creation of a designated pathway leading safely to the Pinnacle, a National Monument known for its exceptional views and archaeological significance.
