FARGO -- Thousands across the Fargo area, young and young at heart, donned their best costumes for Halloween fun on Friday, Oct. 31.
Some trick-or-treating outfits leaned toward spooky, while others even hinted that Christmas is coming soon.
Rain was one of the evening's biggest themes, and some trick-or-treaters said the wet, chilly conditions affected how long they stayed out.
"We usually go down to 17th Avenue but this year it's really cold, we just came out and I was already shivering, so it might make it a little bit harder to go farther, but I'm hoping to get a good kick of candy in," said Phoebe Dawson Becker, a trick-or-treater.
Many children were on the lookout for popular treats like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Twix and Kit-Kat bars.
