Hyndman's Roasted Walnuts celebrates year 40 at Los Olivos Christmas jubilee

Ken and Judy Hyndman of Hyndman's Roasted Walnuts celebrated 40 years of gift-giving tradition during Los Olivos' annual Olde Fashioned Christmas held on Dec. 7.

In addition to the signature holiday fare like decorative cookies, cakes and hot cocoa, the husband and wife duo, keeping with tradition, once again doled out their free, home-grown organic roasted walnuts to passersby during the holiday event.

The Hyndman's began their tradition of roasting organic walnuts and giving them away by the bagful in 1984, and every year since have turned out to serve their community ahead of Christmas.

This year, the pair recruited help from family members Sean, Megan, Darius, and Jacob Hyndman, with added support from Gwyneth, Jessie, and Eliza McKinnie.
