Sobechko was born in Lviv. He tried himself in various professions and loved fishing and mushroom picking. He published several poetry collections - "Svitanok" (Dawn), "Z viroyu v sertsi" (With Faith in the Heart), and "Lehendy Rakovetskoho lisu" (Legends of the Rakovets Forest).
