Tarek El Moussa's Battery Case From Las Vegas Fight Is Dismissed

Tarek El Moussa got a win in his battery case that stemmed from an altercation in Las Vegas.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Friday, August 15, the judge dismissed El Moussa's misdemeanor battery charge on August 5. That status change came after El Moussa, 43, completed "impulse control counseling" and stayed "out of trouble."

News broke in June that El Moussa got into a fight at The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to Us that they responded to a call at 11:06 p.m..

According to a police report obtained by Us at the time, El Moussa allegedly "charged" at a man and "shoved him" after the man interacted with the HGTV star's elderly father. The man "shoved him back and they both took a fighting stance," and "the man then appeared to go for a takedown" on El Moussa's legs. El Moussa allegedly "struck the man with his knee and caused him to fall to the floor." The Flip Off star allegedly "mounted his back" and "threw 3 more strikes with his fist to the head of [the victim] before getting up and walking away."

El Moussa told the authorities that the man "hit his dad on the back with his hand," and so he "got out of his chair to confront [him] to protect his dad due to him having back problems."

The victim suffered a "purple and reddish" bruise underneath his right eye and a half-inch cut on his nose. He did not seek medical treatment.

Following the incident, El Moussa received a citation for battery in lieu of being arrested.

Us Weekly reached out to El Moussa for comment at the time and did not hear back.

El Moussa was in Las Vegas for a speaking engagement. He was supported by his parents, wife Heather Rae El Moussa and other loved ones for the special occasion.

"Not our average Vegas trip ... 🎰💎🖤 Watched Tarek do his thing on stage (so proud!) and made it extra special by bringing our parents along for the ride," Heather wrote via Instagram in June. "We got to show them a glimpse behind the scenes -- our world, our work, and of course, the glam."

The Sin City excursion was just for two days. After Tarek completed his speech, he and his family celebrated with drinks and a show before flying back home to Orange County, California.

"That's a wrap! We had the best time & loved being all together!" Heather wrote at the end of the video, sharing a photo of their group on stage after Tarek's presentation.

Days later, Tarek's ex-wife, Christina Haack, seemingly poked fun at his Las Vegas fight when the exes celebrated their 14-year-old daughter Taylor's middle school graduation together. (Tarek and Haack also share son Brayden, 9. He is also father to son, Tristan, 2, whom he welcomed with Heather.)

"Taylor we are so proud of you and so excited for you to head into the next stage of your life. Our beautiful, smart, incredible, bright light we all love and adore you," read the caption of a joint Instagram post shared by Haack, 41, in June. "We hope all the mistakes you've watched us make throughout your life help to guide you to a brighter future.... 😜🤣🤣 love you baby. High school here we come!!!"
