The partners are inviting the public to join them for what's called Nature & Neighbours: Trails, Talks, and Tastes on Sat., March 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The community-focused fundraising event aims to bring people closer to nature while supporting environmental conservation, said organizers.
Quinte Conservation's education staff will lead a guided hike through North Potter's Creek Conservation Area, during which they will share tips about hiking safely, protecting yourself from ticks and other insect bites, and identifying hazardous plants.
They will also share information about the area's unique environmental features as they guide guests through the trails. After the hike, participants are welcome to gather for light refreshments such as cedar leaf tea and apple roasting.
