More than 400 patients underwent surgery with the National Surgical Plan in the state of Barinas, with low and medium complexity surgeries, as part of the strategies to guarantee timely and free care to the population.
The regional health director, Andreína Rodríguez, reported that the day ended this Sunday and was successfully carried out in the hospitals of the municipalities of Ezequiel Zamora, Antonio José de Sucre, Pedraza, Alberto Arvelo Torrealba, Rojas, Bolívar, Barinas, as well as in the Dr. León Fortoul Saavedra Specialized Popular Clinic and Funsalud.
Rodríguez explained that procedures were performed including inguinal and umbilical hernia repairs, general surgery, urology, gynecology and obstetrics, prolapse repairs, and sterilizations. She also highlighted the commitment of the more than 100 doctors, specialists, and nursing staff who were in charge of the event.
He emphasized that these actions are part of the effective responses of the National Government, through the 1x10 of Good Governance, in coordination with the Government of Barinas.

Authorities in the state of Barinas reopened the operating room of the Br. Rafael Rangel hospital in Santa Bárbara, Ezequiel Zamora municipality.
The project was selected as a priority in a consultation with the people and will benefit more than 66.000 inhabitants.
The Secretary General of the Government, Zenaida Gallardo, emphasized that the reactivation guarantees health services to the entire population without distinction.
This healthcare center now has 19 specialties and 40 operational beds.
Mayor Derwin Sandoval expressed his gratitude for the collaborative effort, noting that the project aligns with the government's fourth line of social transformation.
