Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accompanied by First Lady Olena Zelenska, will make his first official visit to Ireland tomorrow.
During the visit, President Zelenskyy will hold bilateral talks with Taoiseach Micheál Martin and pay a courtesy call on President Michael D. Higgins. He is also scheduled to address a joint sitting of the Dáil and Seanad in the Houses of the Oireachtas.
The visit takes place at a crucial moment for Ukraine's peace efforts and follows President Zelenskyy's arrival in Paris today for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Ireland has been a strong European ally since Russia's full-scale invasion, providing political, humanitarian, and military support.
Welcoming the visit, Taoiseach Micheál Martin said it recognises Ireland's unwavering solidarity with Ukraine and the significant contribution of the more than 120,000 Ukrainian refugees who have found safety here.
President Zelenskyy's programme will also include the official launch of the Ireland-Ukraine Economic Forum, attended by Tánaiste Simon Harris and Minister for Foreign Affairs Helen McEntee.
